The columns and their entablature were put back up on the Esplanade des Marronniers in 1958 when Nyon was celebrating its two thousand years of history. Originally, they belonged to the partially raised porticoes of the area sacra of the forum, located in the centre of the town. The decoration, dating back to the middle of the first century A.D., reveals artistic influences from Southern Gaul.
