French, Nyon Roman Museum, Pamphlet (6 p.), 2002.
The remains of the Roman town of Nyon are buried directly under the centre of the modern town. As a result, the great majority of the monuments discovered by the archaeologists cannot be preserved once they have been documented, studied and photographed; only artefacts and portable objects can be displayed in the Roman Museum. With a bit of imagination some signs of Nyon’s Roman past are visible in the streets for anyone able to identify them. You can use this itinerary to discover Roman Nyon.
