Julius Caesar statue under repair

Weakened and destabilized, the statue of Julius Caesar enthroned above the Roman Museum suffered this summer. It will be removed on Wednesday August 28 for a complete repair in the workshop, which will take one to two weeks.
The statue’s popularity is certainly the cause of its deterioration. The assaults she endured, for fun or to take photos and selfies, took their toll on her stability.
This is a copy of a statue of Julius Caesar. The original marble statue dates from the2nd century AD and can be found in Rome, in the Council Chamber of the Capitoline Hill.
