During the European Heritage Days on September 13 and 14, 2025, 1h30 guided tours are organized between the Roman Museum and the Nyon amphitheater.
For thousands of years, the Rue de la Porcelaine in Nyon has fossilized the presence of an ancient monument linked to games: one of Switzerland’s best-preserved arenas. By following the curve of this major axis, linking the lower and upper parts of the city, the aim is to evoke the depth of time, that which links us to Roman times, to the Colonia Iulia Equestris, founded during Julius Caesar’s lifetime.
Guided tours must be booked in advance and start at the Roman Museum. The temporary exhibition “Amphithéâtre? remains open from 10 am to 5 pm.
