Sunday, April 12, 2pm and 3.30pm – Antiquity with your eyes closed
Go back in time with your fingertips: blindfolded, touch real Roman objects that have survived the centuries. A smooth amphora, a worn coin, a mysterious tool… What do they tell us? Listen to them, feel them… and guess their secrets.
Children aged 8 and over and families. Duration 1 hour. CHF 5 per person.

Tuesday, April 22, 2 – 4 pm – What a pot!
Ancient ceramics came in all shapes and sizes: plates, bowls, goblets, amphorae and jugs! Now it’s your turn to create your own tableware and decorate it in Roman style.
Ages 7-12. Duration: 2 hours. CHF 16 per child.

Wednesday, April 23, 2 – 4 pm – Mosaics are chic
Wealthy Roman families weren’t content just to decorate their walls. They also loved to decorate floors with colorful mosaics. Experiment with these gestures and techniques and create your own composition.
Ages 7-12. Duration: 2 hours. CHF 16 per child.

Thursday, April 24, 2 to 4 p.m. – How do the Romans play?
Test your skill, patience, strategy and luck with the most popular games of ancient Rome. Then create a personalized Roman board game to play at home.
7-12 years. Duration: 2 hours. CHF 16 per child.

Friday, April 25, 2 – 4 pm – At the heart of the arena
In ancient cities, amphitheaters were built for gladiatorial combat and the hunting of wild beasts. Come and visit Nyon’s amphitheatre, carry out archaeological digs to discover its secrets, or build your own shield to protect yourself.
7-12 years. Duration 2 hours. CHF 16 per child.

The workshops offered by the Roman Museum during the Easter vacations are part of the PâKOMUZé program. In 2025, this program will bring together some forty cultural institutions in the canton of Vaud to organize over 130 activities for children and their families.
