In particular, it will address the site’s architectural, landscape and scenographic dimensions. It will provide an overview of the studies carried out to date and the plans for enhancing the monument. It should be noted that the project will be based on minimal and partly reversible intervention, respecting the integrity of the site’s high heritage value. It will aim to preserve the authenticity of the remains while making them accessible.
The amphitheatre will be designed as a living archaeological park, fully integrated into the city, open to encounters, transmission and contemplation. In this way, the project will make a lasting contribution to the everyday life of the people of Nyons.
