Vaud Archaeology Days

On the weekend of May 3 and 4, from 10am to 6pm, the Journées vaudoises d’archéologie will take place at the Roman Villa in Orbe-Boscéaz.

To the rhythm of the campaign

Over the course of a weekend, discover the life of farmers in protohistory, Roman times and the Middle Ages, as well as the tools still in use in the 19th century. The Pro Urba Foundation and the archaeological community of the Canton of Vaud invite you to a series of events, demonstrations and workshops on the site of the Gallo-Roman villa at Boscéaz. Let yourself be charmed by the delights of a Roman-style country holiday, as you savor the delicacies of the occasion. It will also be an opportunity to discover or revisit the mosaic of Achilles at Scyros, usually closed to the public.

The Roman Museum of Nyon will be on hand with events dedicated to archaeozoology: an opportunity to learn about the study of animal bones and gain a better understanding of how people lived in days gone by.

Free admission and entertainment.
