It’s fresco time!
Vaud Archaeology Days
Saturday 2 May - Sunday 3 May - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
With the Journées vaudoises d’archéologie, embark on an artistic journey through the ages for a weekend of immersive events accessible to all. From the first cave paintings to Roman frescoes, from theater to the art of perfume, explore the place of art in human history from its very origins. A varied program combining history, creativity and experimentation!
The Roman Museum of Nyon invites you to the Palais de Rumine in Lausanne for the “On y est fresque!” workshop, exploring the art of mural painting in Roman times.
How were walls decorated in those days? Using real antique wall paintings from the four Pompeian styles, discover the art of fresco painting and create your own decor by adding the missing motifs.
Offered on a continuous basis, this workshop is aimed at children aged 6 and over, as well as anyone wishing to discover the artistic techniques of Antiquity in a fun way.
